- pH: 6.0–7.0
- Water hardness: Soft to moderately soft
- Filtration: Gentle flow; sponge filters or baffled HOB filters work well

Behavior & Compatibility
Neon tetras are peaceful, schooling fish that should be kept in groups of 6 or more. Larger groups help them feel secure and display more natural behavior.
They spend most of their time swimming in the middle of the tank and do well in calm, community environments.
